Can I get Smartlink

Featured Replies

Hello,

I just bought a brand new Skoda Scala Selection 2025.
When I click on "Phone" button the screen says that I shouls see with the Skoda reseller for activation.

The Skoda reseller tells me that it is note possible on my car ... 😭

Are they alternatives ?
Do ou think the reseller can be wrong ?

Thanks in advance

He is not mistaken. Unfortunately, after 2024, Smart Link cannot be retroactively activated. It is not compatible with the electrical system—at least that is the official position. In any case, it is quite strange. On my 2023 car, the dealership was still able to activate Smart Link afterwards, for an amount equivalent to about 250 pounds in local currency

It means the electrical system in brand new cars is note able to do what the "old" version can do ...
It sounds like a try to avoid "hacked" Smart Link.

In the end it makes bad communication because I cannot get a GPS on the central screen of my brand new Skoda 😠

Thank you anyway for your answer )

Yes, unfortunately you should have ordered it together with the car... but the salesperson could have mentioned that too.

I actually did.
It's a mistake on the delivery and they have no way to get backward.
They also told me it would be wireless mobile charger that is actually absent.

For that they offer me a 400€ refound ... I would prefer the Smart Link by far ...

Sounds like you need to reject the car then as not as ordered and they need to get you a correctly specified replacement
