Missed gear change when pulling off

Featured Replies

I've done 1,500 miles in my IV Sportline. 5 times now I've experienced what feels like a missed gear change between 1st and 2nd when pulling off from stopped. Always in electric mode. It's like a very quick stutter, then car continues normally. It's only happened when the car has just started.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks.

Yes.

Yes, that's it, thanks. Doesn't sound like anyone worked out what it is?

Unfortunately not. I haven't found a way to reliably reproduce the issue. It happens randomly, maybe once out of every 10 drives, making it very hard to explain to a workshop or get them to troubleshoot.

A workshop / technician / fitter should hardly need it explained as they should be Test Driving vehicles. Salespeople and management drive 'Perks' / demonstrators, and new and used vehicles. This is a full time job for them, week in and week out. If they have no knowledge of issues maybe they are all called 'Tommy'
