Traffic Sign Recognition error message

Featured Replies

The traffic sign recognition error warning light came on when ignition turned on.

Car went into dealers for diagnosis.

They had to contact Skoda Technical Services for advice.

No fix , suggested new camera may be required and the new camera to be calibrated.

Horrendous estimate , circa !500 GBP plus the calibration cost by ADAS specialist.

Useless idea anyway, all these gimmicks just cause more errors. Try turning it off in Settings, if you do you may not get the warning.

I would not let them fire the parts cannon while you are paying. Get a fixed price for a guaranteed fix.

Thought it was a good idea having sign recognition on the dash but to suddenly see it change from 60 to 5 shows it is in need of tuning to stop picking up random roadside numbers

The traffic sign recognition tries it's best. In the UK it is hampered by very poor maintenance of road signs. It's a guide at best and always worth remembering that. If can be outsmarted by signs on the rear of trucks or by misaligned signs on side roads.
