Intermittent front wipers not working correctly

Featured Replies

Hi I’ve recently had the windscreen replaced by Autoglass and now when my wipers are set to intermittent at the lowest setting they come on every 4 seconds even when not raining and if I set it to the highest setting they work constantly?? I’m guessing they have either not calibrated them correctly or not fit the sensor correctly, any help would be appreciated. 👍🏻

@Justo Below is a picture of my windscreen. The circular section underneath the camera looks very different to your image.

So if the rain sensor sits inside that circle, looking at your image I can see why the intermittent wipe function is not working.

It looks like they've done a messy job in that area. Have they applied a sealant there when none is required? I would contact them.

Hi the car is booked in with them in a weeks time so hopefully it will be rectified, I agree it does look a messy job, I’ll be making sure the next one isn’t. Even in this glorious weather the wipers still activate.

Also noticed the windscreen washer jets are aiming at the bottom of the screen so will get them to sort that too, be nice if they’d have checked all this before !
