Popped into my local Skoda dealer service dept, to see if their laser alignment equipment had been repaired. Saw there were some nice Skoda pins on the desk, asked if could have one and was offered the drinks bottle as well. Haven’t tried it in the cup holder yet though.

The invoice is in the post..................

Quite amazing - a Skoda dealer giving something away to promote good customer relations - though ultimately you’ll pay for it.

My dealer is as tight as the proverbial ducks ar5e………..

The Service Manager at my local Skoda dealer, she’s been there about 12 months, has very good customer relation skills. I know some dealerships come in for criticism, especially on service costs, but to be fair all the service people at my dealer provide good customer service. I much prefer it to the “atmosphere” in their sister VW dealership in the same building, where you have to go to reception and then seem to processed as though on a conveyor belt - very impersonal.

Based on your username it wouldn't be a Slough based dealership by any chance would it?

To explain my user name. This is a model of a Thames Trader, a truck made by the Ford Motor Company between 1957 and 1963. From 1964 to 1971 I spent every Saturday and most school holidays riding in the passenger seat of the vehicle my model is based one. So I’m afraid not a dealer ship in Slough.

Gotcha

It was just that there is a multi-VAG make dealership there that fitted the mixed customer service description
