I have noticed my radiator fan is making a noise especially now with the aircon being used during this hot weather. It has a rumble rather like a washing machine drum spinning. Are the bearings lack lubrication and would a spray of lubricant behind the fan blades quieten it?

Reckon the bearings will be sealed but a spray of penetrating oil wouldnt do any harm if you can get to the bearings. Could be its being used a lot more due to the hot weather. Had a volvo 940 that fan never came on until one really hot day. There was so much dust I thought engine had gone on fire and noise was terrible .Dont think it had been on for years and had seized up due to lack of use.
