Bonnet latch not working! External access?

Featured Replies

Hey gang. Cable must have popped out of place. Level is loose in the cabin now. Can't see the latch directly underneath between bumper and radiator. Any other options?? Thanks

Sorry to have to say - Nightmare incoming - I've just had similar on my Golf - I've lathered and lubricated the mechanism on both our Karoq and Superb - I don't want to have to go through the procedure again......!

Quite amazing that something as simple as the release latch not working (for whatever reason) can cause so much grief........?

Good luck....

UPDATE: took off drivers side wheel and arch liner. Saw the latch cable in the gap behind the headlight. Fished it out and gave it a good yank and it popped the bonnet/hood. The junction box of cables had come apart. Closed it in place and it seems to be working now.
