Greetings to fellow Skoda owners.

I have owned an Octavia L&K Estate from almost new in April 2008 (my second Octavia)

Until past few months almost faultless. Now cannot diagnose problems or obtain parts !

There was a similar thread on the Golf GTI site I used to be on and I found it really interesting to see what other's had been up to. My car is due to be built this week (34) so I am counting down the days until I finally get it! So what have you lot been up to?

Hi! My media player keeps getting stuck in a bootloop. Before it started every other time i started the car but this last year its started only once. I was suggested to change the harddrive cause they though it was corrupt so i bought a new one but i dont have any software and cant find any place to buy the base software to install and not just updates. Any tips for what to do or if any has the software available.

Does My Car Have the Virtual Pedal?

I purchased my Karoq 1.5 DSG SE L at the end of July 2026. The car was pre registered on 31 March 2026 and I believe it was built in January 2026. Skoda Customer Services tell me it has what they call virtual pedal electric tailgate operation but I'm not at all sure. Easy Open is selected in the settings but I cannot get the tailgate to open using my foot. I have looked underneath the rear bumper for some sort of sensor but can't see anything. I can't get at a January 2026 brochure to check

A few months ago, I posted here about rust appearing on the panel around the fuel filler area on my car. Upon closer inspection, this rust had started on the rear side of the panel and penetrated through to the outside. The car is a 2014 Citigo SE with only 20k miles showing. After a lot of back and forth conversations with Skoda, they finally inspected the car in July 2018 and agreed it was a manufacturing defect. The car was taken to an approved body shop where it remained for over a month

Hey all Have a 2021 mk4 octavia vrs and i am not far from needing front pads and discs changed Been quoted £750 by a trustworthy indie garage and on akoda website it goes for about £800 Just checking how much it has cost other people to get both front pads and discs changed at a garage?
