I have 2 Fabia SDis, one is an 03 estate, the other a Y H/B. They have both done over 60000 miles but the estate accelerates quicker than the hatch. Both turn in 58-61 mpg with no faults. Does the estate have a different box or final drive?

couldn't find a final drive figure for either vehicle but the tech specs would suggest the H/B would be quicker than the estate ,

H/B 0-60 18.6secs and 1215 kgs

estate 0-60 19.0secs and 1250 kgs

although the estate is slightly quicker at 98mph as opposed to 96mph HTH

The three-letter code for the gearbox is printed on the label under the boot carpet in each car. On mine it's listed after the engine code.
