I have a 24 plate Karoq and the windows fail to open when holding down door open button on key fob. It's happened before and rectified itself, but now it won't. New Panasonic batteries in key fob and all windows set to open in settings. Window lock off. Any suggestions??

One (or more) of the windows needs its 'one-touch' operation resetting.

This should reset it

  • Close the window: Pull the window switch all the way up to the second detent until the window is completely closed. Keep holding the switch up for about 2 to 3 seconds after it shuts.

  • Open the window: Push the switch all the way down to fully open the window, and hold the switch down for 2 to 3 seconds once it is fully open.

  • Repeat closure: Pull the switch up once more to fully close the window and hold it for 2 to 3 seconds at the top.

How easy was that. Problem solved. Many Thanks. Wonder why the Skoda dealer never mentioned the reset??????

That's because they probably wanted you to take the car in and pay them to investigate the fault!

I've had the same issue but with using the global closing rather than opening. It happened a couple of times during the hot spells when I was trying to close the windows in the evening having left them open during the day. In my case it was one of the rear windows and a quick use of the reset sequence sorted it!
