Big hello to all the forum members! I’m new here, and I’m the new owner of a Škoda Octavia 2.0 TDI (110 kW) with a DSG transmission and the 'Style' trim level. Anyone know how long a fob battery lasts before needing replacement? How do I change it? I saw a video on line which seemed awfully fiddly involving a long thin screwdriver and much twisting. Why are these things so complicated? Do we get a warning of impending flat fob battery? I read we can use the emergency key to gain access if locked out. It said to put the emergency key next to the start/stop button and the car will open. How do we do that if we are locked out?. I bought a 2023 Karoq

Is the age of the car related to the current v1989 update issues?

Just wondering if the age of the car, and therefore the Infotainment unit, is a contributing factor when it comes to the current issues people are having when installing the latest v1989 software update? Is it worth commenting on here if you have had issues or not and what age your car is to try and see if there is a relationship between the age of the car and whether issues have arisen?

Hi everyone, I am wondering whether this upgrade path is possible. I have a pre-facelift MK3 Octavia VRS with the MIB2 High glovebox unit (2 SD cards and internal SSD jukebox function). I currently have the 8" matte screen with physical buttons in the first picture, I'm wondering if the 8" glass screen in the second picture will work? Or even the 9.2 which I think is MIB 2.5? 5E0919606 is my current part and 5E0919605M is the new one. I apologise if I missed anything, thanks!😁

My unit details are: Car: Škoda Fabia III, 2016 Infotainment: Bolero, without navigation, one SD card slot Part number: 5Q0035840B Hardware version: H30 Current software: 0353 Current software train: MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0353T Android Auto already works. I am looking for the original firmware update package, rather than the Toolbox or a FEC/SWaP
