Rattle from back seat area on vRS

Featured Replies

Sorry chap but this is only for back seat rattles I think you need a new thread for door rattles. :)

So despite me telling the dealer that it was the seat catch and him fixing the rattle from the side bolster it is back.:thumbdwn:

I shall be on the phone Tuesday but I am loosing faith.

Its frustrating

btw

I reported this to my Skoda dealer and they were aware of the rattle coming from the rear seats. Apparently there are waiting for some new parts to completely fix this.

Any updates ?

Decided to get it to the dealers........ let them sort the squeeks out! I will report back if they manage to fix it! Fingers crossed! breath not held though!

Good luck.

Mine is booked in again a week on Thursday and this time I get to go to the workshops and take a mechanic out. Hopefully he will be able to pinpoint the problem and cure it.

Bit of a strange one but finally took the mechanic out but not before he had given the mechanism a good work out. Surprise as it was completely silent despite driving down a cobbled street. I explained what was happening though and they are going to order a new mechanism and let me know when it is in.

I really hope this is the end of it.

Right it finally sorted :)

They took the rear seats out and repostioned the seat catches, lubbed up all the bare metal bits and put it altogether.

Doesnt rattle any longer!

So in today for the new seat catch. I will have to wait and see if it has cured it. Only time will tell.

It was interesting to note that the 1.6 Elegance they gave me for the day also had the same problem. I pointed this out when I gave it back to the dealers which wasn't well received.:)

Is there much to fitting them ?

Anyone have any ideas what happens to the faulty one ? As I said before the Customer Care & Quality Dept reakon nobody has complained, I'd love them to get there hands on the part so that it would save other people having to hassle dealers over this issue.

Btw Make sure and keep us up to date on how the new ones go  .

Sorry Gaff I can't answer your first or your second question. All work was done under warranty so I guess that should be fed back and held by Skoda.

You would like to think so anyway.

I will keep you up to date and if they start again you will be the first to know.

That would be the sensible approach...but why do I think it won't happen.

Any chance you could give me your dealer info and maybe I could pass it back to the person I spoke to so Quality MIGHT take it back and look at it. (Might save someone else that hassle of listening to it :) )
