free servicing

Featured Replies

another question peeps, took delivery of an octy on 04/07/06 and was going through the various bits of paperwork tonight, i've been on hols and also away with work so no chance to do it before now, and, shock horror, was reading over a page with details about the free service offer and in small print at the bottom it states the form has to be with skoda WITHIN 7 days of registration, which was a few weeks back. surely i can't be excluded from the offer? at no time did the salesman point this out. fair enough i'm the one that has to sign it but, you'd think, if it was that important he would have informed me, will ring dealer tomorrow, any thoughts please?

Read the small print?

Is that Skoda UK picking up the tab or the dealer? I can understand the salesman not mentioning it if the dealer picks up the tab :D

don't know if it's the dlr or skoda.

strange this is was on skoda website and small print reads that offer is only for uk mainland only, yet dlr stated i would get it and i'm not on mainland, NI.

It's SUK, available on all models except the vRS.

Workman, call Skoda UK about it, the earlier the better. I bought mine early in June, before there was any paperwork. I called Skoda UK and they said I could qualify. Mind you, in spite of chasing up for weeks I haven't received anything in writing yet - stuck at Volkswagen Finance apparently.

Bear in mind that you have to be on fixed interval servicing, and I'm not sure how much, if anything, you get charged for consumables. When I finally do get to see the small print it may turn out to be worth less than I hope.

Beleive it is for 3 years and 10k max a year , had my dealer phone me a few weeks back offering this plus a

Mel Amine you're right about the fixed 10k service intervals, however i've got the thing sorted. it turns out the form i had, and did'nt sign and post, was only a copy and the dlr has registered me with SUK:thumbup: i thought i would have sent it off right away if it was important, it turns out i signed the original on pick up day, must be getting old!

Workman, have you received any paperwork yet regarding the free servicing? I've been chasing for two months and am often fobbed off with "end of this week".

I wonder if we will also get the £500 cashback. That would be quite nice.

I received the little booklet today containg the small print about the free service offer. Workman, I think you ought to receive it too, as you should be able to get the service through any authorised dealer, not simply the one you bought the car from.

Nothing about £500 cashback though. Ah well.

Yeah, get some confirmation of the free servicing. A mate had this on his Evo8 where he got 3 yrs servicing thrown in but the dealer tried to charge him for it. There was no record on the system and he had to show the original bill of sale to prove it.
