Should I buy ???

Featured Replies

I'm in the market for a Vrs but not completely sure what type Octavia or Fabia, I've seen a Occy 5dr at a skoda stealers on a 02 plate with 38k miles in black for

Octavia = Loads of space, nicely balanced handling as standard good brakes, 30MPG.

Fabia = Less space, heavy engine influences handling, poor standard brakes, 50MPG.

The Octavia's lower MPG can probaably be easily offset by the very low prices at the moment.

i selling my 04 vrs fabia.19 k miles ,red, still got 1 years warrenty, serviced last week i dont know a price yet as im going to skoda bilston on wensday to get a px price on a 06 plate.

.......Errrrrm.........OctvRSrs or FabvRS.........OctvRSrs or FabvRS.

Deffinatly Made the correct choice.

Autotrader online, Private sale, 37K, 53 plate (Jan 2004), FSSH, Still under warranty, 6 months TAX, 6 Months MOT, Parking sensors & Cruise Control & light protectors. £7600

The same at a skoda dealer i was looking at closer to £10,000, if not more at some garages.

Thanks for those points my next question is I currently have a VW Passat 1.8T(150bhp) will I feel a noticable(??) difference in performance?

i posted this to you on another question, just thought id paste it in here incase you missed it.

My dad drives a 1.8t estate passat and ive drove it a few times, the driving experience is totally different. you will deffinatly notice the different. the 30 extra bhp is great, but doesnt feel as aggressive as the passat, but sounds a hell of alot better.

the reason its not as aggressive is due to the softer suspension on the passat. being softer the car pulls and shoves you back into your seat when you floor it. its only when you drive the vrs, feeling the road from the harder suspension and using the power, hearing that engine that you experience that better drive. mine is only a std setup and i love it.

obviousley the 0 - 60 time is better.

a newboy myself, one months ownership now.

thanks MLuton I did get your previous message, I asked it again due to the fact that I didn't get many replies on the newbie section.

Seems like a really good deal to me... I bought my 1.8T Elegance Estate 02 with similar mileage for a similar price!!!

I had the same debate and the octy won. I can live with the fuel and tax as I did not buy the car for the fuel econmy.

on the fuel issue my octy is not much less economical that the 1.25 fiesta which I had before!

i too had this debate but decided that i didnt need an oil burner and wanted a pretty quick car so the octy won hands down really

Question:- How many people travelling on regular basis ?

Answer :- If just the driver+1 = Fabia VRS. (Mine mpg 45)

Answer :- If more than 2 people+= Octavia VRS
