Hello everyone,

I'm Peter and I picked up a new Octavia vRS last Thursday. I was recommended to this site by my friend Tony Stopforth who has a Fabia vRS. I've had a good look round the forum and I'm very impressed with all the info.

As you may have read from Tony's posts we tried/considered quite a few cars before deciding on the vRS. I'm so pleased I chose the Octavia, it is such a superb car in all areas. I was worried that the vRS was going to be heavy on petrol, but I'm pleasantly surprised! I've got a friend with an Impreza WRX and he can never get more than 25 MPG even just crusing at 70 on the motorway. I'm very pleased that I've been getting top 30's on the motorway so far. Excellent engine!

Anyway, I hope to meet you all soon at a meet. :thumbup:
