Transponder key replacement

Featured Replies

Hello.

First time I've posted on anything, hope this works OK.

Problem is this - I've just bought a second-hand 2001 Skoda Fabia Comfort Estate.

Trouble is, the only key it came with was the spare - the push-button remote locking key is long gone. The small matter of someone somewhere being able to drive my new(ish) car away at will aside, how do I go about getting a replacement? Will it be expensive? Is it even possible?

Many thanks in advance for any help,

P.

Central locking will still work by turning the key in the lock.

Check out my website for info on how to code a new key.

Damn, that was fast.

Cheers mate. Any idea where I can get an uncut transponder fob of the right make from? And how specialised a job is it to get it cut? ie. will Timpsons on the high-street be able to sort it?

Thanks.

P.

Ebay. Blades can be cut from a digital image of your existing one.

Your dealer - he can sort out everything for you.
