F1 trainee driver + Fab vRS = scary!!!

Featured Replies

After upgrading the fab vRS with Eibachs, ARB, Oneclick I persuaded my brother-in-law Noah to take me for a spin to see what the car can do.

He came 4th out of 500 drivers in the last year's Bahrain F1 driver program and hopes to get into the top 3 drivers of the BMW F1 program this year. Let's just say that the guy can drive well.

It's bl**dy scary what the car can do. I know why they call them "Jesus Christ handles" now!!!

I told SWMBO forget about going on a roller-coaster - just get Noah to take her for a buzz in the furby.:D

He was impressed and is thinking of getting one himself now!

As for me I'm slightly nauseated after that ride.

Cheers:thumbup:

Bas

Sounds like you had fun! :drivesaf:

Hi Xav - I really want him to come to the UK - he's memorized Silverstone track from the training simulators - with your car, he'd do Skoda proud! Bit of a problem with the accomodation though.....

Hi Emily - Congratulations! You're going to be totally happy with it - I STILL have a smile on my face going to and from work. You'll have to put on some Briskoda stickers (on the car that is!) and put up a photo gallery then!!!!

Cheers

Bas

It's amazing the difference a decent driver makes to a car.

I remeber being on a trackday and an instructor deciding to drive a VW caddy van round - twas funny to watch something like that lapping people. :D

Talking of stickers. Any progress on the NEW ones??

Hey Bas, you're in Bahrain eh.....

Been there a few times with work. A mad place!! There's nowhere else in the world you could walk into an Irish themed pub and the first bloke you see is wearing black robes, white head-dress (from saudi??) and drinking a pint of Guinness!!!!

It made me laugh the other week when people here were complaining about 38 degrees C. Try 48 deg in the middle of a concrete aircraft pan, weilding spanners trying to fix a recently shut down gas turbine engine. That re-defines the meaning of HOT!!!!!

Aeroplanes run on Gas........Is that natural.....

No, they run on Kerosene (virtually diesel!! I've known people from work to chuck a bit in their car when money is tight!!!) But they're known as gas turbines. Obviously more commonly known as jet engines. There are variants to the basic design, turbojet, turbofan etc.

I have seen some nutters that have managed to re-engineer car/truck turbo chargers into minature gas turbine engines that run on propane!!

I could go on but i don't wanna steal the thread........ (http://www.briskoda.net/forums/off-topic-chit-chat/off-topic-chat/59551/#post674268)

So, Trainee F1 drivers and Fabia vRS's are a scary combination........
