I am wondering what are tehnical specifications of the new improved 2.0 tdi 170 bhp engine?

I ask this because I am planning to buy soon a new octavia vrs, but I cant decide wheter to buy a diesel or petrol. So I plan to remap diesel engine but I am not sure if that would be a wise thing to do? Maybe they only changed from 2.0 tdi 140 bhp software and produced a 170 engine. Or did they change something else as well? So my question is Does anyone knows difference between 2.0 140 tdi and 2.0 170 bhp engine? Tehnical differences?

I am know driving a fabia vrs remaped to 165 bhp for a year now and I am more than pleased.

If only this would be possible to do with 2.0 tdi 170 bhp to say 205 bhp!

This is still an unknown, as the VW Golf 170 has a bigger Turbo, improved injectors, and a remap over the 140 engine.

It would be a complete guess as to what can be done with regards remapping.

Someone will find out soon enough when ot released here in the UK .
