spacers

Featured Replies

would the handaling be improved if the spacers were just applied to the rear? because the roomster has been said to have superb handaling because it has a wider track on the rear:confused: would it work in theory?

the wifes estate has been running with 18mm spacers on the rear for about a year. Great improvement in body roll.

how much are they?:)

about £50 they are 15mm, to make fit I had to use a universal 3mm one between it and the hub because they fouled the centre hub.

Plus the cost of longer (locking?) bolts, presumably? Or do spacers work in a cleverer way than I imagine?

No you need longer bolts.

The 15mm spacers i used came with longer bolts. adding the 3mm universal was not a problem.

Got 15mm spacers on the back and I wouldnt say they did much to the handling, but the back of the car was more settled and less skittish (is that is the word?) after fitting.

Got them from badger5 plus longer bolts. :)

surely thats an imrpovement to the handeling then

a good result anyway :)

i fitted spacers to the front of my octavia so that my wheels would fit over my brakes and spaced to rears so it looked better, no great difference in handling what so ever :)
