Featured Replies

From West Yorkshire area. Broke into the house and took off with the keys in the middle of the night. The plate reads R5 OCTA

Long shot but please keep your eyes peeled, to help catch the *******s if nothing else!

Rob.

Very sorry to hear that, Hope you and your family are ok.

Eyes peeled ready but to be honest it is probably parked quite close at the back of trading estate somewhere .....they just wait to see if it has a tracker fitted.

Hope you are all OK

Where abouts in W.Yorks?

And has it any distinguishing marks? i.e. noticable scratches or stickers?

I'll keep 'em peeled on my travels.

Huddersfield area. The car - knowing my dad - will be really dirty, and it has loads of kids writing on the boot lid, in the dirt .........grrr lol.

Few scuffs on the front passenger alloy, some 6x9 speakers in the parcel shelf.......oh yea and if you look close at the doors, they are all KEYED!

I'm only a spit away from Hudds. You never know, here's hoping.

ill keep my eyes peeled..

I live in the HD4 area just behind the uni, around newsome road. But im always all over the hudd and in brighouse quite a bit. Its probably with some scrotes in birkby or fartown.. lovely areas!

update, the car was found in Bradford, up an embankment, it is well mashed, chassis broken / twisted all over. apparently there is a lot of goings on in Bradford, cars for order!

Sorry to hear your bad news....Bring back Hanging...................Andy

Sorry to hear your news. Hope you get sorted with the insurance etc.

I've had this debate before on here, but out of interest where did you leave the keys?

The reason I ask is that I now making a habit of taking mine to bed with me and putting them on the bed side table.

Some people feel that at the end of the day its only a car, and purposely leave the keys in an obvious position. They would rather the thieving barstewards took the car without waking them up and threatening them or their families.

I believe that might be the case for some of the more desirable sports cars - especially those that are stolen to order - but that most thieves are a little more opportunistic, and are just trying their luck. Breaking and entry is one thing, but going waking someone up and not knowing how they will react is another.

Think it all comes down to personal preference at the end of the day. Not sure what the police advice on this sort of thing is.

Ive got a keyring that says "take me to bed with you" sponsered by GM police...
