Vrs arb decision

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I bought a Fabia VRS a couple of months ago, love it! But I want to improve the handling of it without doing to much, or spending to much anyway! I've read many postings about the Jabba sport anti roll bar (arb) and putting a seat Ibiza front arb on, but the jabba is

You'll find the eibach kit is just the front bar which is 22m. Standard is 20mm. Jabbasport are the only people to make a arb for the rear.

...and if you get onto the group buy at the moment it costs

...though the new Polo GTi has a rear ARB according to EVO mag's write-up of it...

Think it was a mis print as I've searched the web and found no other comments about a rear arb being fitted only the front one being thicker.

Thanks for the replies,

I have attached a pic off the Eibach web site which shows both front and rear bars so i assumed that you get both with the kit, has anyone bought the kit and know what comes with it?

check out www.eibach.de. The ARB kit for the ibiza/polo/fabia is a 22mm front arb. No rear.

I appolagie, yes you are right the fabia kit only comes with front bar after looking a bit further, the pic is a bit misleading but thankyou for pointing it out.

Does anyone know what the best rubber to put on the standard wheels for the Vrs is?

Have a look at the poll here. Expect to pay at least

Is there a arb group buy on at the moment then? Where is the link for it I can't seem to find it anywhere?

After reading some other postings I get the impression that the jabba arb only really works best when used with lowered springs and some saying that it can make under steer worse, is this the case or will it improve the handling with standard springs on? And will it push up my insurance a lot if I tell then I have this on? I only really want to have a bit more confidence and feel at higher speeds. Can anyone suggest a better way of doing this, if there is one?

I have mine on normal springs, and it's a hell of a lot better going round corners than standard. Understeer's no worse, if anything a lot harder to get. But it just feels a lot more solid and under control.

The insurance didn't go up a lot, and to be honest, having had the bar on for a while now, if it had gone up a lot it'd be worth it. Considering its billed as the 'sporty' fabia the car should have one of these on from the factory.

Thanks, well I guess I have to get one then.

Jabba Sport fitted my rear ARB this morning and I can't believe how much better the car behaves on roundabouts and twisties.

Highly recommended product, especially at the GB price plus the service was great!

Tip: get there early and chill out to a DVD on their comfy sofas :D

Look in the promotions section...which comes under the sponsers section.

hmmm. will need to sort me out with one of these. jabba is not far from me now so would be rude not to....

Just been told by CIS that they will not renew my policy as i am a high risk. Time to get looking for someone kind to arb's!

Kind to ARBs? WTF?

They wouldn't have understood it was just a bar of metal and probably thought you were fitting barbed wire to the front of your car....

If that was their reaction to an ARB then now's the time to get rid. Plenty of clued-up insurers out there.

keen to insure with an anti roll bar as opposed to "foxtrot oscar"

CIS are always a bit twitchy. young driver and all...

I was with CIS on my Nova SR aaages ago and they were fine with me playing around with it.
