Thats what I thought.. a lot of people say new Fabia will be Geneva 2007 but seeing as they are building them from December this year they surely will launch in before the end of this year and Paris is the last chance!

I think it is, they've actually already started building some to test the production process, full scale production is supposed to begin end of December according to a Czech site. An internal Skoda communication also said the current Fabia hatch will end production in December.

This looks a great car.I did read the interior would be more robust though.Looks exactly the same as a normal Octavia interior to me.

The gearing must be slightly different because the tyres on the show car are 225/50/17s. Unless they will be a different size on the production models.

Shame no auto option but guess thats down to VW not letting the Skoda brand pinching too many sales. £19,500 too high a price too, £3000 over the cost of a 1.9 TDi 4x4? poor value for the difference unless the spec is a lot higher.

I like the look of that, and the inclusion of the more powerful diesel unit is welcome. Now the final part of the puzzle is to offer DSG as an option. Then my ideal Skoda would be just about there - Octy2 estate with 4x4, PD140 and DSG
