Exhaust.......cleaning?

Featured Replies

I've read here that the exhaust on the Fabia vRS forms a black soot like substance being a diesel, here's my question,

is it normal for this to happen to the petrol Octy II vRS??

What should I use to clean it?

Mine gets a bit sooty, a friend recommended a product called Autosol. I got a tube in Halfords. Heres a link to it, [url']http://www.autosolonline.com/metalpolish.htm[/url]

Does it work?

Its seems good, but I dunno what it would be like on caked on stuff...I've been using it for a while. You can try it if ya want the next day ;) and give a review.

Its great stuff.... I bought some after my car was about 6 months old and pretty grubby (used normal wheel cleaner). A couple of applications and one very shiny exhaust. And it lasts for ever:thumbup:

I agree, top stuff. (Even though the tin looks like something from the 1950's) :)
