Going to go looking for a vRS. Help Needed.

Featured Replies

Hello,

The Renault might be going today. I am going to look at some Fabia vRS's. I am going to try and find a year old one as to avoid the high first year loss of value. Is there anything I should look out for on the car.

Thanks

Yeah keep an eye out for one with a high first year loss in value - Not seen many myself!!

You may well find that if you are looking around Franchised Dealers it makes better sense to get a new one over a 1 year old as the residuals are still pretty strong.

Faults wise look for dirty and worn seats.

Evidence of abuse by a previous owner.

Make sure you know what a standard one drives like so you'll know if you stumble on a mapped one.

Kerbed wheels.

Service history - 1st one at 10k or 1 year whichever is first.

As Stu says, new ones are seldom more than a couple of hundred dearer than year old ones. Either look for an older one (54 plate with some warranty, 50ish k miles) for under £8k, or take the plunge and get brand new.

Thanks for quick replays. I think I will go and see what the figures work out at first...then decide what to do next.

I was originally gona go for a nearly new one, then i saw the prices and thought sod it and ordered a brand spanker.:thumbup:
