Flat Battery

Featured Replies

woke up yesterday morning to go fishing and the car wouldnt start

call out the AA and he says the battery was flat

no lights left on, doors all locked...he did some testing and seemed to think something was actually draining the battery but he couldnt be 100% sure and said I should get the dealer to check it

anybody seen anything like this previously?

A few members have had this problem in the past, Maybe the radio. I think there is a software upgrade IIRC, get your dealer to have a look.

Have you got a PDA/PhoneCharger/GPS etc running? everything Ok with the 12v socket in the boot?

nah nowt running anywhere in the car..its had me baffled

I I put all the vanity lights to off, popped the back seat to make sure the boot light wasnt staying on...all sorts of daft things

There were issues with the Stream and Audience with some hardware versions. Your dealer should be able to tell you.

Hi, I had this fault - it is a known problem with Skoda Technical. There was a batch of faulty Brake Light Switches which are affected by a change in atmospheric pressure and switched the brake lights on thus draining the battery.

Sounds sureal but my dealer assures me this was the fault and a new switched fixed the problem
