Chicken Madras 1:0 vRS passenger seat

Featured Replies

Dammit...

I'm sure you all know the situation.. driving back from the Indian takeaway, holding the steaming hot food on the passenger seat with one hand whilst driving as steadily as possible with the other*..

Well, I can safely say that the vRS seats don't offer the same support to spicy food as they do to people!:(

Its not a massive stain, and I got most of it out quite quickly but I would appreciate any advice as to the best way of ..

1: Removing the stain from the fabric (tried and tested methods please.)

2: Getting the car to smell like a car again instead of my local curry house..

*Do not attepmt this at home kids! Oh.. and I couldn't really decide what was worse.. getting the food on the car.. or not getting to eat it!!

The best way to remove curry stains is to sprinkle talc powder on the stain as soon as you can and let it stand for several hours. The powder soaks up the oil in the curry. After that, brush off the powder, and apply a warm water and soap mixture. That should remove the stain.

As for the smell (fragrance?), enjoy it.

And for the future find a takeaway that will deliver, much easier :D

Or a car kit for your phone -that's what I hang my takeaway on! Dashmount brackets are wonderful things........;)

or use the footwell cause you can 1001 moose the floor mats.

I find the gearstick is a good takeaway rack, as long as you don't change gear too quick. ;) Also depends on the type of bag given too.

Well in that case, he can take the mats out and wash them in the washhand bison

Vanish Oxy Action solution sponged into the fabric. Rinse well by wiping with moist sponge. Towel dry, and leave air-con on for an hour. Did this last night on the front seats of my Octy - turned out really well.
