After-fitting 'sport' spoiler

Featured Replies

My local dealer in Inverness mentioned that the boot spoiler fitted to the 'sport' models can be retro-fitted. Has anyone done this? and how much? Obviously painted to Island Green!

Thanks.

I was going to have one fitted to my Elegance, dealer wanted around

I have fitted the spoiler to the Superb in the same manner. Upset my old boss s he told me to do it. He then come to get his keys to go home and I wouldnt let him have them as it had to sit for 24hrs, he had to go home in the 1.2 HTP loaner, he wasnt happy..lol

I have a spoiler I want to fit to my mk1. It appears to be glue / silicon attached but also has three lugs that need holes drilled. How do I line them up so I drill in the right place?

I would have thought making a paper template with the holes in the correct place would be a good idea. Then tape it onto the car.

Brill! Ta for that Ross.

Next question, what to use to bond it? Has tapered lugs so drill slightly smal and push in then silicon?

My local dealer in Inverness...

Sorry to hijack the thread, but that would be Delmore out on the Beauly road would it? Did you buy new from them and if so did you get a good deal or are they like all the other Inverness dealers who won't budge from the list price?

Yes, it was from Delmore's - The car was the demonstrator, but they knocked 4000 off list price, so was rather happy with the deal i got! I originally was going to get the 1.9 elegance, no extra's apart from the Pegasus alloys and suspension, but it would have been a long wait for build, so they offered me the 2.0Tdi demo as in my sig, for the price of the standard 1.9tdi! So yeah they are quite happy to do a deal. Hope this helps.

Yes, I had it done. All the Sport kit are standard parts in the acessories catalogue

Looks good the little lip spoiler on superb and octavia.

I had the vRS spoiler put onto my fabia, shame to see the car go for 24hrs for what is only gluing.

How much did it cost you?

can't remember, I struck a deal over the spoiler as it was going to be lying there otherwise and I also got 2 grills painted the same colour. It was also over a year ago
