Door open warning light?

Featured Replies

i think i might get medievil on mine later with hammers/crowbar/switch cleaner stuff. starting to really annoy me now.

Switch cleaner usually comes with a straw, just position the straw in the correct general direction and spray it liberally :)

Micro switches are not exactly known to be really resistant to dirt ingress :D

well i took the door card off then realised i couldn't remove the actual lock as it is held in place by what seems a gazillion sided torx bit :(

so i decided to spray the **** out of it from every angle i could but sadly had no effect other than getting dirt all over the bottom of my door

looks like i might have to buy a new one :(

Ah, I have one of those bits :D

Just poppin out to see if I can fix it. Do I need to take the door card off completelY?

I did the same with the spray, all I got was a dirty puddle on my drive where it ran out of the bottom of the door :grumpy:

yep, door card needs to come off as the lock comes out from the inside and the door handle, lock pin and cabling connect to it.
