My new car

Featured Replies

I picked up my new car today.

Its a 54 plate Octavia II 2.0 Tdi PD Elegance in Island Green.

Just coming up to two years old, with 17k miles on the clock.

Here are the first few pics.....

Very impressed so far - and over 50mpg on the way back from Chesterfield (where I picked it up) to Manchester, although the heavy traffic did limit my right foot somewhat!

Anyone want to buy a Felicia?

Looks v. nice...how much you after for the Felicia? :rubchin:

Rob.

Very nice Andy,

When I got mine last week it was a tos up between that colour on a 54 plate, or sahara beige on a 55. I went beige, the only reason being the other car was a little tatty round the edges. I have done 400 miles or so in mine now at an average of 54mpg.

Very nice Andy!

Welcome to the land of "Derv"

Very nice Andy. So glad you got sorted so quickly. IMHO your personality carried you through. Good job

Nice looking car, enjoy the 2.0tdi;)

Brilliant car and I believe you got a great price on it too, you little haggler you. I like the Britishkoda Racing Green, it look really nice in the sunshine (that we have up here in the North on a daily basis). Can Willberpog come and play some time? :D Have you thought of a name yet? If it

Thanks for all your comments.

Just a quick update on the car. Not had chance to get out and have a good long drive yet, but I'm pretty impressed so far. I think I've discovered all the cubby holes, but still working out what all the other toys do. The auto-dimming rear view mirror impressed me tonight whilst I was out.

I'm also pleased with the 2.0 Tdi engine - it seems to have a split personality, where it is nice and relaxed for motorway driving, but can change to give a bit of power on the twistees when needed.

Although it has less power than my Octy I vRS, it doesn't seem that much less, and I have to say the Octy II does feel a much more modern and refined car. The kids tell me its got more room in the back, although their latest game is crawling through the ski hatch into the boot! Perhaps they should re-name it a kid-flap.

Will have to have a run over to Briskoda's favourite chippy sometime this week to give it a proper test run!

Ooh did someone say chips??

Your kids could play footie in the boot it

Looks very nice Andy - just remember not to put petrol in it!

What are you doing with that smart little Felica?

Hi Andy

Sorry I missed this :(

Does look good.

Mmmm was worth the running about you did.

Good price too.

Mmmm bring me some chips back please

So Felly is for sale to a good home?

You didnt get much time to get the pleasure of her.

But the cleaning theme did her a power of good ;)

Nice one, this is a proud moment..new job and new car

Sarah
