Jabba produces much better results on petrol engines... ;)

However, kind of requires a turbo. On the 1.4 8v, cheap mods that'll smooth things out and maybe make it more responsive would be a new air intake and exhaust. Remove any interior trim you don't need, spare wheel, rear seats, etc.

If you want to tinker, a set of fast road cams will make things more interesting. Chips aren't really that cost effective on NA cars.

There's a guy on here under the name of Erik@AAT who would be able to make some suggestions (with prices)... :)

CCCTechnology surfaced briefly on this forum here a while ago but hasn't been heard of since. I don't want to comment further. rolleyes.gif

In addition to everyones elses suggestions also check out TSR.......must admit I think tuning is a bit limited for the 8v.....a bit more for the 16v.

You will probably have to go the "old skool" route to tuning if you want good gains. Anyone know if Bill Blydensein is still around.........if so would also be a good port of call (porting head, bigger valves etc).

Bellflower...go to Van Aaken as they will modify your ecu for you. You'll get about an extra 8bhp and around another 10 to 14 ft lb torque. More importantly the engine will be a lot crisper. Cost is around
