Skoda Stream Bass settings etc

Featured Replies

Anyone managed to find (or know) the optimal settings for treble, mid-range and bass?

depends what music u listen too

I don't think there is an optimum setting. It's just a case of sticking in some cds and playing around with the settings, that's what I did and took me a few goes, but got there in teh end.

This works for me:-

Treble +1

Mid Bass 0

Bass +2

The best way to work out what is right for you is to put on a favourite piece of music, preferably with a bit of bass content and adjust the settings with your eyes closed!.

The temporary stream unit I am currently using, doent have a midbass setting just bass and treble. These I have all set to 0. The audience has a midbass setting.

Still should have the audience installed at the weekend once the dealer gets the codes from Skoda, at least he has the new HU now.

Cheers guys. I kinda thought it might be down to personal preference.

The later Stream's have bass , mid and treble.

I have Bass on full , treble on about +2 and mid flat

Bass +2

Mid -2

Treble -2

Seems to work with most of the cr@p I listen to.

I like bass so had my bass on max and treble on 2. Problem was that the speakers and / or door cards started vibrating, not just at loud volumes. Took it to the stealer expecting them to take off the door cards and check for loose components - but no - we've turned your bass down sir. To55ers

Treble and Bass just alter the amount of hiss and vibration respectively and the Stream HU doesn't have any mid-range, so that control is pretty much redundant.

It sounds rubbish at any setting. Some just sound a bit less rubbish than others.

Of course it has midrange. Just not very much of it.

Certainly isn't as good as the 8 speaker set up in the Fabia estate I had, that's for sure.

The sound in the Octavia isn't that bad

If you play the right music the speaker give out a considerable kick.

My old man had a Volvo 240 Estate and the speakers in that were the size of those little foil mince pie dishes, they sounded like them too.

I have mine on bass +2 midrange 0 and treble +1.

What I find annoying is that the vocals seem to be very right sided and I have to set the balance to -5 i.e. to the left to get a good stereo effect.

Had a problem with the left bass speaker but this has been fixed at the stealers today - apparently it is a common insulation fault.

treble -4

mid -9

bass 0

I have

treble 0

mid -4
