Question, how would one get into motorsport racing (BTCC for example)?

With regards to what?

Driving? Mechanic? Team Boss?

Most drivers start off at Go-kart level and work there way up,the winnier of the Seat Leon Cupra R cup for example is usually gets promoted into the BTCC Seat team.

And to be in the Leon R cup you just need £70k to enter.

lol fair enough, i dont have anywhere near enough expendable income to start it up as a hobby now, so im just getting a head start for a few years time. Thanks for the input.

You could try sprints and hill sprints. Not quite as glamorous as BTCC but a lot of fun, no other cars on the track to bash into to start with.

I've got a mate thats a current BTCC driver and i'm sure he would agree with that - he's a bl**dy good driver but TBH he's struggling

I did sprints etc and they are great

Which driver ? (just wondering ). Its a very competitive championship and you'd need a bottomless pit in terms of cash.

Btw I'd say there was fun after round 2 of Btcc in knockhill, plenty of damage $$$$
