If you want to make the car faster in the real world, sort out the suspension :D Otherwise, you'll have 30-40bhp more and not be able to corner any faster ;)

Chris

what would you do first? A/R/B or Eibachs?

Personally I'd do the Eibachs as these sort out the pitching and diving under acceleration/braking as well as reducing the body roll. I'd also consider the Koni FSD dampers too as I read good things about them....

Chris

save approx another £100 and have ARB and springs, IMHO

springs and dampers, then brakes, then remap :)

when i started out i did suspension, remap then brakes and wish i'd done the brakes before the remap as i could make mine fade very easily.

but i have an octavia not a fabia :)

I'd get new brakes first. Brand new set of 312mm's will do nicely for around that money!

Then Jabba rear ARB, closely followed by Eibach Springs and FSD dampers.

Then I'd go for an FMIC, Milltek exhaust, an uprated turbo (nowt silly - the PD150 item would do nicely), followed by a custom map.

Follow all that up with leather, a nice ICE install, some colour coding of body work bits, miscellaneous mods....

Just what I'd do if I had another. But imo brakes make the most worthwhile improvement.

Don't want to be a spoilsport but I'd guess you should budget for the insurance hike first of all. :(

Aside from that I'd do as ric04vrs suggests and save a little more to do springs & ARB at the same time. Then brakes, then re-map.

Easy peasy.

Blow your jetwasher up, go to buy a new one, and on the way back from B&Q call at Asda.

Job done:thumbup:

( No, I'm not fat or smelly!)

I remember a certain member used to tell his wife he was popping down to ASDA every time he went to get some more tuning mods fitted

No. sorry. There was a thread recently that implied that people who shop at Asda are fat and smelly.

I always shop at Asda, and fill up there, 'cos the food's competitive, and the diesel is free, and I was pointing out to some of the Asdaphobes on here that I was neither fat or smelly:thumbup:

( no implied offence meant at all Bob.)

I'm a trainee manager for ASDA, I hope this isn't implying that people that work there are fat and smelly too???

Chris

I dont shop at ASDA but I am fat and smelly so that disproves that theory straight away.

nonononono! his theory was that most people who shop at ASDA are fat and smelly rather than people who are fat and smelly shop at ASDA :P

save a bit more (?) and get spring and dampers

Comprendez senor, no offence taken and with the exception of the diesel being free I would tend to agree with your comments, Asda is a wonderfull place for the financially challenged (like me) I shop there all the time:D
