Hello everyone.

Quick introduction to me. We bought the Octavia 4x4 Turbo a month or so ago (51 plate Estate - 70k miles). Got to say, we've been really happy with it. It replaced a 3 door 2.0 ESP Zetec Focus which I loved, but just wasn't compatible with a growing family - 2 small kids and all of the associated junk!

I have a bit of a history of playing with cars (still have my 200bhp Morris Minor tarmac rally car in the garage), although car related tinkering has taken a bit of a back seat due to above mentioned family....... Having said that, the potential of the Octavia has got me considering a few choice mods.

A suspension upgrade and a bit of a tweek courtesy of the very local Jabbasport (I'm just north of Peterborough) could turn the car into something much more interesting. I could really do with some help from this forum in suggesting ways to get the above mentioned 'essential items' approved by 'the management'. I reckon that the next service may be an expensive one (at Jabbasport) and that its possible it could need new shocks for the next MOT !! Any other suggestions would be gratefully received......

What engine have you got in it? I know loads of people have got the Fiat Twin Cams in them but didn't think that would get to where you are power-wise.

The Moggy has a Vauxhall 2.0 16v engine (the Cosworth designed XE version) with throttle bodies and a few other choice mods to give about 200hp. It was featured in CCC back in the 90's. I'll try to dig a photo out and post it up here. Still trying to work out how to fit a child seat into it!!!!
