Only picked up the graphics card this afternoon from PC world, went for the 7300GS for the time being, was told it will work with the new Windows...

Also picked up a cheap 15" TFT so I can have both old and new PC's running at the same time to help with data transfer etc.

Won't get a chance to sort until Sunday now though :(

Build all done, USB keyboard purchased plus a nifty USB KVM which makes it easier to use the existing monitor etc!

Currently formatting the 1st drive....

Woo :)

Hope you are happy with it. Did you find yourself a wireless card for it in the end?

Almost sorted, just need to install Office etc and sort out the networking. Ended up buying a new wireless 108 adapter, came today.

The mrs has used it with photoshop and is well impressed! She convinced by the time I start using it and adding on more software it will be as bad as the old one though!!!!

Just don't install stuff that stays resident and leaves a mini thing in the task bar.

If it does install it just disable all the ones you don't need.

On the plus point you have two cores, so even if crap is running the system will still be a lot more interactive. Have you got AV sorted yet? If so AVG etc is the wya to go as norton is a heaving pile of **** these days.

lol about Norton!

Have downloaded the AVG trial version and I like it so will buy that when it runs out....

I hate those mini things in the task bar, everything seems to have one!
