lexus clusters

Featured Replies

I have been told that lexus style lights can be a problem come MOT time or if the police want to be clever with you for owning a modified car, apparently a lot of companies that make them dont incorperate a reflector which they are required to have in the uk,do the milotec lights have these or not ? Im not trying to worry anyone who has these lights because im going to buy them regardless of there legality, just thought i would make people aware of this in case the law start harrasing them(which they probably will) or you can usually get away with it if you fit reflectors on the back of your car but this generally spoils the appearance of yor car (wouldnt affect fabia owners though)

I get a lot of attention from the plod - think it's because my car is particularly noisy, but they haven't stopped me yet to have a look at the lights (mind you - i've only had them on for like 6 hours! )

Anyway what's the worst that can happen? When MOT time comes around if it fails because it's missing a reflector or something then you put the old lights back on - it only takes around 15-20 minutes.

Thats because fabias look good, no matter what has been put on them. Jasons dukes of hazard mobile looks better than any octavia :D

seriously they look smarter than i thought they would

Checked last night - they do have reflectors

If you look at the middle of the top circle you can see it.

I take it the reason they are not meant for RHD is that the fog light is on the wrong side. ie, on the left instead of the right of the car??

If you check the left hand side of the rear lights you will find that the bulb for the main light (where the fog light will be on lhd cars) is a dual filament bulb and can be hooked up with about a metre of cable and a scotch clip to connect it to the other fog, so unless they use a different bulb holder, there should be no problem. Email them just to be sure though.
