Bought a lemon, advice required.

If you HPI a car and they missed the damage they promise they will give yo usome amount of money. Step one read their terms :)

Only if it has been written off.

if the seller has not mentioned when questioned that there was accident repair then they are in breach of contract (paper does not need to be signed for there to be a contract when you enter into any purchase both seller and buyer are protected) but you would have to prove that you asked them if the car was in an accident

so there is not alot you can do unless you have proof

sorry

Got it checked on a 4 wheel alignment, and it's pretty straight.

They guy that checked it said that if it had had the damage I described, it has been put back together well enough.

I think I will just live with it, as it's still a lovely car to drive and it still looks great.

I will probably run it for a few years and then look at a newer Octy.

I did the HPi through the RAC and to qualify for their guarantee you need to supply some other data within a few weeks, which me being the lay sod I am, I didn't.

And the guarantee only covers you if they miss that the car has been written off or outstanding finance. So since it was repaired off the book so to speak, it's a grey area.

Thanks for all your advice anyway.

And I will probably meet some of you at a Skoda meet sometime, and you can s****** at my wonky car.
