Part number required

Featured Replies

After the part number of the metal clips that hold the rubber CV boot in place.

They're the ones that loop around and have tags that you push through and bend down to hold them in place.

Octavia Elegance estate 1.8T FWD 51 reg.

do you mean FWD Four wheel drive or FWD front wheel drive??

do you mean the inner or outer cv joint??

in the case of 4WD do you mean front or rear??

do you mean the small end or the big end of the cv joint?

sorry to ask a thousand questions

edit: oh and an engine code would be handy

Large end

Can you do it by reg number ?

cant do reg number, but i have got a freshly downloaded copy of etos

right the part number is

N 904 424 01

but to be honest you are probably better off using a large jubilee clip becuse those little terminal clips are $hit and you need some special pliers to crimp them.

Oh.... I have a large jubilee on there at the moment - but with the MOT next week I thought I'd better do a propper job.

so long as mot's are concerned, if the boots are secure and not leaking then you will be fine.......

i've seen in the past some cv boot kits even come with those little plastic cable tie things to secure the boot:eek:

I used a plastic cable tie on the GFs car to get it through an MoT.... I messed up the metal clip when trying to put it on - it slipped and ended up too small!!
