BAKER21's SUPERB - HOW LOW CAN YOU GO? WILL A CUPRA SPLITTER HELP?!?!?

Featured Replies

Right then my next mod is here.....

I have been looking for a long time now for a way to get the front, and rather high nose of the Superb, a little closer to the ground. I like low cars and I have my Superb as low as she will go but with this mod I am hoping to achieve a slightly more aggresive front end and that lower side and front profile.

So this is what I have been up to this evening:

I know that this isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea and obviously it may look rubbish but for £20 I thought I would give it a bash. So far IMO it looks good but it's too dark now to put the bumper back on so more pics will follow in the morning.

And here they are......

I am really happy with the results and I think it looks OEM, not bad for £20!!

So, what do you think? Good or bad comments are welcome!!!

That should look pretty good. Like to see that on the car.

is that the Leon splitty? looks alright on your bumper:) get it on!!!

I just wish I could do that with my vRS but it is too low for our roads as it is.

Looks Ace with the Trawler net fitted.........." The Deadlist Catch"

That looks OEM on that bumper, looks like it will work really well indeed. Nice one fella.

Fits in nicely - look forward to the fitted pics.

 at the net - is that ice hockey or something?!

First post edited, I will get some better pics up soon.

SSSSSUUUUUUPPPPPEEEEEERRRRRRBBBBBBBB!!!!!!!

Thats spooky, as thought about doing similar myself, as did this to my Toledo with its standard bumper. Looks like I will be doing it to the Super B now!!!!

Again Baker21 has done the business!

Your whole car looks Superb ;)

I wee myself everytime I see those wheels too.

i love your car!!! does look the bee's knees

Looks mint and will help to protect the bumper from scrapes. Had one on my Leon Cupra and it stopped me replacing the front end when going over speed bumps too fast.

P.s. Nice hockey net in your lounge. Different place to play indoor hockey?????

Surely without a splitter, your car wouldnt have been as low?

Baker - your car gets better and better.

Want an honest opinion and a suggestion? Honestly, I can't really tell. Because it's black. That's where color coding comes in the picture...you really wanna see the difference, get that thing sprayed body colour and see how much happier you will be.

Thanks mate, I did something similar on my Nova would you believe with a Laguna Splitter, and to be honest this has the same effect.

Look forward to seeing your results mate if you do it.

LOL!!!

They won't be on the car for much longer, just sourcing two new tyres for my old alloys and then these 19's will be put away for the winter!!

I have already been over speed bumps and I have noticed no difference.

My car is low but the lowest part of the car is the back section of the engine undertray, so no worries.

Thanks for your honesty mate.

I have to admit that the pics don't do it justice but it looks spot on in the flesh and I am very happy with it.

The colour coding has is an ongoing discussion but it's just a waste of money as it would make more sense to smooth the bumpers, that may be another project.

I disagree. Splitters should be black, and I think it looks nice and original the way it is.

Please get some pillar trims to go with your tints though!
