My boss has just bought a new car.

Featured Replies

My boss used to have an R34 Skyline which he sold for an RX7 which, he sold for a TVR Tuscan 2. All of this in the space of about 3 years

The RX7 was bought online while the car was still in Japan and the first his wife knew was when it turned up at the factory on a transporter

Well, the TVR is now up for sale as he's gone back to a Skyline R34 GT-R M-Spec NUR. The car is still in Japan and no, his wife doesnt know yet.

What spec is that particular derivative?

He also has an A4 TDI S-line company vehicle and an RS4 (previous shape). I think both the TVR and RS4 will be up for sale to fund the Skyline.

This spec of GTR the R34 V Spec II NUR, held the fastest lap time for a production car at the famous Nurburgring track in Germany. So I guess the M Spec is similar

Oh... so its pretty quick then ? ;)

Nearly as fast as a 2.0l Fabia with a decent custom remap.

Last of the bullet-proof new Nissans too I believe ;)

Apparently it was my Z that made him want another GTR !

Is he a hairdresser too?

Or is he a girl as he needs 4x4?

They are nice motors though, having said that, the interior is very 80's Aiwa music centre :D

 - haha, spot on! The interior isn't exactly bang up to date. And the ride is as firm as a very very firm thing too. And that was just the short trip I got in a standard R34 GT-R.

I could have sworn it had solid springs. Gripped and handled well though

286 I believe?

They're electronically limited to 276bhp by a gentleman's agreement, but the R34 can be very easily and cheaply tuned to run 400-500bhp :D

I believe the cast iron block used in the R34 is good for 1000bhp too :D

Chris

Are you sure it's 'M' Spec?

If it's the V-Spec N1 NUR (as I suspect) then it's a proper machine, comes as standard with -

Strengthened block designed to withstand high horsepower requirements.

Nismo N1 oil pump,

Nismo water pump,

Nismo Pistons,

Nismo Conrods.

Nice!!
