You ARE taking the mickey aren't you, Paul?! There are 37 different manual boxes for the Octavia ranging from 4 to 6 speed. But in your case I would recommend looking at the FDF as fitted to Octavias since 09/00.

Did I mention that it's a 4-speed automatic box?

The six speed is only fitted to the pd130 and pd 150 engines IIRC so you may have trouble fitting it to a petrol engined car as the position of the nuts and connecters may be in different places.

std is 02J. TT 6speed box fits, but requires A3 quattro driveshafts, flywheel and clutch.

My gearbox part no is 02J 301 103 FPI, but it doesn't show in my copy of Etka :confused:

Thats assuming I'm reading the numbers correctly off the scrap of paper I have. Transmission code is definitely EHA on mine though.

Can't get prices on my version (plus they are probably out of date), let me know what you need.

It's not on mine either, Jon. The part number for the EHA gearbox is 02J 300 048D (or DX for exchange).
