Parrot CK3000 into Fabia vrs

Featured Replies

I am thinking of buying a Parrot Ck3000 bluetooth handsfree kit to put into my Vrs.

1. Has anyone done this - if so how easy is it to do? I believe it plugs into back of the standard Symphony but may need to reverse some wires? Also you need to find a position for the "box" that is attached to the cable. And then route the microphone ideally to near the rear view mirror?

Secondly, if anyone has one of these, are they any good? Is the sound quality good, can the person at the other end of the line hear you ok or are there echos?

I am only interested in the 3000, not interested in going up to the 3100 etc as I don't want a separate display.

Any advices / help gratefully appreciated.

I had one of these in my old car(not a Fabia) and its a classy piece of kit. It's very simple...as the Symphony radio uses ISO it simply plugs in, no adaptors needed.

I'm going for the 3200 version this time but it's very tight behind the radio in the Fabia, can anyone advise where to put the control box?

One thing to note is that, with the 3000 you won't know whos calling unless you look at your phone (or if you have a Sony Ericsson and a voice tag saved it will announce who is calling) but with the 3100/3200 the display will let you know who's callin and you can decide whether to accept/reject :D

Someone on here does have a parrot kit, can't remember who - maybe a search will bring some joy?

I have a 3200 fitted.

Bloody awful buggy piece of cack despite firmware upgrades and two replacements.

There are plenty of better alternatives. Do a search.

I forot to add that the control box for mine is above the glove box. There is a padded area that has a bit of play in it.

I have a CK3000 fitted in my Fabia.

The boxes are located to the left of the head unit, just above the glove box.

I routed the Mic cable round the a-pillar and then blu-tacked to the bottom of the rear view mirror.

It works OK, but not the best when on a noisy road at high speed. The convenience of not plugging a phone in is great though - especially if you do lots of short trips where you're forever hopping in and out of the car.

I can take some pics if you want.

How did you get in behind the glove box...do you have to unscrew it or try get your hand up behind it?

I drops down dead easy. Think there may be instructions in the Cruise Control guide on my Fabia website.

CK3100 here, haven't had much grief with it but it does depend on the phone a fair bit. Properly supported phones work fine though :)

Perfect...found it
Working inside the car remove the three upper and two lower torx screws that hold the glove box in place. Lower the glove box down slightly

I would appreciate some pictures if that is not too much hassle for you?

I fitted a Sony Ericsson HCB 700 Bluetooth unit in my vRS 6 weeks ago got it for £95 of an internet dealer (Carphone Warehouse wanted £160!!!)...fantastic piece of kit especially the voice dialling. I fitted the control box in the samll cubby hole at the base of the steering column
