Fabia rear parcel shelf speaker wires

Featured Replies

Hi all, wanted to fit some OEM rear speakers at the weekend but could not find the wires to connect to loom, are they there or do i have to make some and feed to the dash stereo unit block connectores.

Its a 'Y' reg 2000-1 spec without rear speakers fiited as standered.

Thanks alot

Kevin

Do you have any rear speakers at all at the moment (in the rear doors) ?

If not, then it's likely that no wires have been run and you'll have to add them yourself going back to the head unit in the dash. An easy way to find out is if you remove the head unit and see if the 2 pairs of wires for the rear speaker are in the ISO connector or not.

hi there, no speakers in the back doors.

Got some rear speakers delivered, WRONG ONES, darn blast, these are OEM skoda ones delivered but they are oval not round......

any one in need of oval speakers.........

will have to source some more now.....and wire them up, oh well has to be a weekend job now...

PS, can i fit door speakers and if so has anyone fitted after market ones in the rear doors..........

Thanks Kevin

The rear speakers in a Fabia are oval, and are above the rear wheel arches. Only the rear tweeters are in the doors, just forward of the handles. I would be surprised if there were room in the rear doors to take proper speakers.

I know the story. When you see the offer for Fabia, there is a line where it says 4 speakers but this means 2 big ones below the window opening handle and 2 tweeters on the interior panel of the side mirror, all on the front dors. You should ask for 4 more if you want in the back also.

Yeah , you have to go for the Ambiente , Elegance or vRS to get the rear speakers , Classic and Sport do not have them.

The speakers were NOT skoda oem ones but correct size to fit in the holes etcetc, just wondering if i should by some Xplod speakes and fit to parcel shelf and listen to it resinate hahahahaha.

Might do that actually cos there are some cool xplod speakers on ebay at the moment.........

I am pretty sure the wiring is ok cos i used propper connectors and bared plenty of wire to connect to........as i say may be the speakers are naff. They was only 15 quid for the pair of 4 1/2 speakers.......

will d/check connections but might replace speakers....... wotya fink..

The speakers you bought, may require more power than your headunit can give, hense they are quiet, id just get some standard rear speakers and pop those in, however i dont even have my turned on, because funnily enough i dont sit the back :P Ruins your sound stage in my opinion
