MAF sensor readings and where to buy cheap??

Featured Replies

Hi having had my engine checked using a snapon diagnostic reader i was bit surprised to find the maf sensor reading was not as responsive as it should have been through the rev range and it only peeked at a value of 600 where as it should read upto 800+. Reading various posts on here, cleaning is not really the answer and i was just wondering if anyone had the tolerances or values to which the sensor should run from and upto before i buy a new 1.

Also can these be purchased from other than skoda as a more realistic price??

Don't buy a cheap china copy.

Should be about £60 for an OEM IIRC

OEM IIRC ? is this short for main dealer. Sorry to sound thick

yes - Original Equipment (of the) Manufacturer, If I remember Correctly.

If you are going ahead ANYWAY with replacing the MAF - you lose nothing by trying to clean it first. Do a search on Briskoda, Google and tdiclub.

Good Luck!
