Ok, so here is my experience of Stu and his 'fitting service'.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT.

QUALITY WORKMANSHIP.

VERY HIGH ATTENTION TO DETAIL.

CRUISE CONTROL INSTALLED IN JUST OVER 45MINS

I was really impressed with Stu and the way he carried out the job - and a nice guy to boot!!

Anyone who is near him and is thinking about it, don't hesitate to drop him a PM! I think you'll be happy with the price - I know I was!

Nice to meet you Stu:D

Joe

Yep, he's very good at what he does. If you look at the guide on his site, thats my car being used.

No-one would suspect its not from factory.

Excellent cheers Stu! Comes in very handy to be honest.

Also, you know you said you hadn't seen mpg figures like that for a while?

Well the average fpr the journey home with the cruise on virtually all the way was ..................................57.2 mpg!!!!

Works a treat, thanks again mate.

Sounds like he's better with cruise control than suspension :P:rofl:

At least I don't get sunburnt this time of the year and I now have the special tool :finger::rofl: :P .

Did you get a tyre Joe??

  • Author

I did thanks Stu yeah.

Went to Protyre as you recommended and WOW, what a bunch of friendly, knowledgeable people they are!!

I ended up with a non-directional Kuhmo KH15 for just under £48.15 I was perfectly happy with that to be honest, until I got home and saw "casing disposal" charge on my invoice! (there was no tyre to dispose of as it was already on the alloy :-( but never mind eh?!

I had to wait an hour though, so I drove to Lee on Solent and had a baguette on the seafront (freezing!!) :-)

I popped in to Tesco's on the way home and though the other rear tyre looked a bit soft, so checked it on their machine and it was . . . . . . . . 5psi!!!!! Looks like a slow puncture on that one now damn it!

Oh well

Cheers,

Joe

Phone them back and they can credit the disposal charge back on if you paid by card. Probably a standard charge and they automatically added it without thinking.
