Strut brace enquiry octy vrs

Featured Replies

Gona fit front and lower strut braces to my mk.1 octy Vrs and most likely opt for the Audi S3 versions. Does anyone know how much these weigh in relation to alloy versions? Also the S3 braces are none adjustable - what are the benefits of being able to adjust the upper brace as can be done on most aftermarket items?

Finally what handling caracteristics do these aditional components cause. Be uprating to Kw V3 coilovers soon and got 18inch wheels to bang on so strut stresses should be higher than they are currently.

Cheers

I can't answer any of the weight related queries, but I do know that the S3 one fits like a glove. Unlike any of the other after market ones.

Anyone there?! :mw:

Top one is fine...but I'd probably got a Neuspeed one if I did again.

Bottom one no really in the right place to do much...although it does tightening things up a little.

Weight wise...no idea...but they're not heavy enough to effect anything...IMHO.

dont worry about the weight and after fitting both there should be a slight improvement in turn in and feel.

What sort of cost is the S3 upper brace?

What sort of cost is the S3 upper brace?

IIRC correctly

£57.46 inc vat actually ;)

And a few pennies for M8 bolts

Thanks, I will order one tomorrow. I'm guessing it is from the old shape (51ish reg?).

Thanks again.

Yes, basically just substitute S3 for vRS when ordering...

"Hi, I would like to order an upper strut brace for a 2002 S3" ;)
