Flaps

Featured Replies

Ok, firstly - who clicked on this with a curious feeling as to what was inside...

Mud Flaps.

Can these be retro fitted to Furby vRS at the rear? If so, does anyone have a clue as to the cost of doing it?

I'm getting fedup of how dirty the back of my car gets. 4days from clean to totally blocked numberplate

The good news is that you can get Skoda standard Fabia mudflaps to fit a vRS, with a bit of trimming of the wheel arch. (Search for a How To if you need one).

The bad news is that even with rear mud flaps, the back of the car still gets covered in crud - it comes under the centre of the car and gets swept up the back.

If you put a two-foot extension on the exhaust so the opening was behind the car you would keep the rear end clean and as a bonus prevent people tailgating you. Nobody's done this yet AFAIK.

Do a search! It's a popular mod for Furby vRS owners!

That's how I found how to do mine.

You need to trim off the 5mm lip that runs round and under the wheelarch - a sharp stanley knife or dremel will do.

I'd read the guide ages ago, just wondered if i'd missed any developments :)

I'd noticed that the centre of the rear is where most of the crud ends up, usually when i get back in from a lunch run & the tail lights are dry and the reg plate, and everything else in the middle is soaked :o
