Has anyone used Bilstein PSS9s on a vRS?

Featured Replies

The time has come to sort the handling out on my Fab, I was looking at Weitecs and H&Rs as I didn't think Bilstein made a kit for the Fabia but have just discovered they do...and I can get a very good price. They don't go as low as the H&Rs but thats not an issue for me.

So I was wondering has anyone used the PSS9 coilovers on a Fabia? My brother has the PSSs on his corrado and they are excellent, and I have had Bilstein dampers and Eibach springs on my last three cars so I know they are quality gear......But.....

Is it worth an extra

i asked the same question ages ago about the B12 and B14 kits and i'd be interested to know if anybody has tried them too

I had the PSS9's on my Golf 1.8T and they were VERY good.

They seem to get good reviews from the Ibiza boys over on SCN - not heard any negatives about them - bit out of my price range though. What sort of price range are you talking about getting them for? ;)

EddyH how comfortable would you say they were on your golf compared to OE? Some people say they are alot harsher than the PSSs and are comparable to the H&R RSS Clubsports (very harsh)

Sorry to resurect an old thread but can anyone tell me how low the PSS kit allows you to drop the car?

Cheers

Neil

Would like to see a report on what these coilovers were like as well.

Sorry I've had no time for tinterweb in the last week or so.

As with the PSS kits I've seen on other cars the backs don't really go low enough although the fronts do.

Ride quality is pretty good and handling excellent, I'm not running a RARB but understeer is totally eliminated, the only reason I will fit a RARB is to tone down a little bit of lurching when easing into fast corners.

I was happy enough with the ride height untill I got my Futuras on the car, which is when I modified the rear spring platforms. Got another 25mm adjustment by machining down one of the platform lock rings each side.

Here's how they look...
