Tickover 1.9 TDI

Featured Replies

Not had my TDI long but I find the tickover speed a bit high at 850-900 rpm,is this correct?

Is the oil filter in the round plastic unit on the drivers side?

How difficult is the undertray to take off?

Tickover is usually 903 rpm.

The oil filter isn't a throwaway cannister type, it's inside a holder on the front of the engine under a large plastic nut.

The undertray is held on by T20 screws - no problem, just rather a lot of them. Easiest if the car is up on ramps or axle stands.
