Is it really that noticable yeh? I'm struggling to see how a big metal bar can have such an influence. Ordering mine in the new year and can't wait!

Because it stops the car's body rolling so much!

Chris

Care for a proper review Mil?

Hmmm , is there one for a Mk2 Octy TDI , and do you reckon it would make much difference?

I've got a report about ARB's from EVO mag last year (kept it for the TVR pics). I'll scan it tonight, it explains how they do what they do, from what i can remember.

So you got it then....delivery etc all went well I take.

Would be good to give a review of the arb and your view of the whole buygin process. May be of interest to other members in other countries who'd like to order it.

Its transformed the little Fabia beyond belief, a must mod! Next the dampers and springs and were all done! For the moment......

Tony

I would imagine it would also make a massive (positive) difference on the Octavia, I know it's quite a different car but it ought to make it handle more 'planted' too :D

Glad you managed to fit it Mil :)

Well, you're having a Happy New Year then. That's cos it's superb. :D

as far as i know an anti-roll bar keeps the car more upright rather than leaning by linking the hubs either side of the car together so that if one tries to compress a lot it attempts to pull the other one down with it so rather than just one side compressing and making the car lean over it still compresses it nearly as much but also compress the other side so that the whole car dips rather than just one side. sort of.

Yep, got mine fitted Friday along with Eibach springs and dampers, plus new front bushes.

A very marked transformation

Steve

its a long chunk of spring steel that stops the sus arms moving in oposite directions. ie; thay can both go up, or both go down, but the spring steel adds resistance when thay move in the oposite direction.

Just done the rear suspension on mine so far, koni FSDs, eibachs and the jabba arb. Very impressed with the results! I'm waiting for some better weather before tackling the fronts.

mil, does it have any adverse affects on the handling on your 2.0?? i'm thinking about getting one soon too!

The Mk2 has one as standard as it has independant rear suspension not a silly solid beam.

the fabia's have one too, it's welded to to the inside of the axle beam

Thats just to aid torsional ridigity though rather than being a usefull ARB but the same as the old Felicia ones that bolted under the beam.

This was from ask jeff in Evo, if anyone's interested.

Funnily enough right opositite the Fabia vRS advert:thumbup: .
